Manager, California RPE Program Safe and Active Communities Branch (SACB) SUBJECT: RPE Program Request for Applications (RFA) The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is soliciting applications from eligible local rape crisis centers to implement and evaluate activities to prevent sexual violence. The attached RFA must be used to apply for RPE funding for the contract period of November 1, 2012 to October 31, 2013. Advance payments up to 25 percent of the annual budget amount per contract are permitted. Instructions for obtaining advance payments will be sent after applications are received by CDPH. To submit an application, please follow the instructions and pay particular attention to the RPE Program Guidance document provided as Attachment A. All completed applications must be received by August 31, 2012. Please e-mail your completed documents to jeannie.galarpe@ and mail a signed original postmarked by September 3, 2012 to the address listed on page 3 of this RFA. Two repeating teleconferences have been scheduled to provide guidance and answer questions related to the RFA (please see page 4 of this RFA). At least one person from your agency must attend one of these teleconferences. After the teleconferences, additional application-related technical assistance will be offered by appointment on an individual agency basis. Thank you - I look forward to receiving your application!
