This not only affects the progress of their teachers, but also hinders students’ access to knowledge. Classroom as the place of teaching is to improve the quality of college English teaching. And the teacher as dominate of imparting knowledge is to regulate the behavior of students and enrich students knowledge. The classroom silence is bound to affect a variety of teaching activities. This article which employs questionnaires and references to a variety of books and other forms is to analyze the cause of College English classroom silence. And according to the various reasons, the author puts forward corresponding countermeasures.
