In the promotion of the investment funds of all levels of governments and all parties in the past ten years， Chinas LED industry develops rapidly， and achieved good results. But we should also be aware that at present in the process of LED application many problems gradually expose， such as the lack of standards， uneven product quality， lack of innovation and so on. The development of LED industry in China still has a long way to go. 　　Key words： LED industry； innovation carrier； dynamic matching strategy 　　LED （Light Emitting Diode， also known as semiconductor lighting） industry refers to the industry derived from the semiconductor light-emitting diode technology， and is a new industry in the world which is just unfolding. Its development is very fast in developed countries （regions） and in China. Our country also listed it as one of the strategic emerging industries to promote the development in the 12th Five-Year Plan. In the key period of the growing global energy crisis and the domestic acceleration of the transformation of economic development has entered a crucial stage， the development of LED industry in China has very important strategic significance. 　　1. The development situation of LED industry in China 　　With the governments active promotion， the development of Chinas LED industry has made very good achievements in the past ten years， and has formed the more complete industrial chain on the middle and lower reaches including LED epitaxial wafer production， preparation of LED chips， LED chip packaging and the application of LED products. According to the LED Research Institute statistics， by the end of March this year， in Chinas LED industry， there are 60 enterprises with the sapphire project being built， under construction or planned. There are 95 upstream epitaxial and chip enterprises， 1600 middle packaging enterprises， and 6500 downstream applicat
