The training of the ball machines is a multi-ball training. Its feature is making use of the machine serving way and making the teachers devote themselves into the teaching guidance heart and soul. 　　Therefore, with the purpose of making an evaluation on the teaching effect of the application of the ball machines, the author carries out a study on the application of the ball machines in the teaching of the public elective tennis course of the general higher learning schools. 　　Research Objects and Methods 　　Research Objects.The research objects were the 60 male students, who were enrolled by China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2009, selected the tennis course and had the similar basic conditions. 30 students were selected from these objects randomly to be an experimental group, and the other 30 students composed a reference group.
