The planning and application of analyzing and decision support system 　　( Guangzhou International Economics College,Guangzhou,China ) 　　Abstract: In this paper, the planning and application of analyzing and decision support system at China Unicom Zhongshan are introduced. It also introduces the comprehensive DSS, decision support system , which composed of data warehouse and OLAP, data mine, and some important new technologies. 　　Keyword: Decision Supporting, Data Warehouse, On-Line Analytical Process 　　As a combined telecom business operator, China Unicom meets lots of complicated factors that relate to the company operation and management, such as the increase and decrease of turnover, the increase and loss of customer, the arrearage and cheating, the information of competitors, etc. The rapidly changing operation condition and market environment, and the intensive competition, all require that the decision makers of the company make the decisions more quickly, more accurately and more effectively. Therefore the source data that can effectively support the decision-making are highly required. For example, for the purpose of previewing and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing police, for the purpose of analyzing and evaluating customer consuming behavior, customer contribution and customer needs, for the purpose of analyzing and evaluating the operation status, for the purpose of evaluating of benefits of investment on network construction, these all require decision making source data. In order to provide support to the operation decision-making, we planed and applied the analyzing and decision support system (miCRM DSS so called hereafter) under the leadership of the company. 　　1.
