FLIR Systems PTZ-35x140MS SR-35x140MS Architect Engineering Specifications Version 1.1 April 16, 2008 NOT USED PRODUCTS Thermal Security Camera Functional Description The Thermal Security Camera shall not depend on any visible or invisible (infrared) illumination or image intensifier to “see” i.e. produce images. The Thermal Security Camera shall be totally passive and not produce any energy or emit light in any bandwidth. The Thermal Security Camera shall allow the user to clearly identify images in the total absence of light. The Thermal Security Camera shall allow the user to see through smoke and light fog and to view the thermal patterns and contrast in the scene. The Thermal Security Camera shall not be susceptible to “image blooming” caused by bright lights as are image intensifiers and visible spectrum cameras. The Thermal Security Camera shall utilize a Vanadium Oxide (VOx) uncooled microbolometer responding in the LWIR (Long Wave Infrared) spectral range of 7.5 – 13.5 μm which is beyond what is visible to the human eye. The Thermal Security Camera shall be a multi-sensor camera unit consisting of dual thermal imaging cameras with fixed 35mm and electronically focusable 140mm lens and a daylight camera with a continuous zoom lens mounted on a heavy-duty pan/tilt drive and rated for outdoor installations. The Thermal Security Camera shall be designed to present both the 35mm and 140mm thermal images as a single image with a 5° FOV image nested inside of a 20° FOV image to provide excellent situational awareness and long range threat detection simultaneously. The thermal imagery shall be displayed as a blended image with a high resolution center area and medium resolution in the situational awareness area. Additionally, the 5° FOV shall provide digital zoom to provide a user selectable 2.5° FOV.
