MEETING NOTES –FINAL CSRC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (EC) MEETING September 24, 2008 Location: Telephone Time/Date: 1:30 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.; September 24, 2008 Members Present: Director Yehuda Bock, Giana “Gigi” Cardoza, Ross Carlson, Chairperson Adrian “Dick” Davis, Art Andrew, Greg Helmer, Chris Walls, Kevin Kelly, Cecilia Whitaker – 8 (7 = quorum) Members Absent: IGPP Director Catherine Constable, John Orcutt, Marti Ikehara, Steve Martin – 4 Others Present: Executive Manager John Canas Coordinator Maria Turingan – 2 Meeting Leader: Chairperson Dick Davis Agenda: See attached. Welcome – Chairman Dick Davis: Roll Call – See above. A quorum was present. The September 2 meeting notes for review by all in the next week. Review Agenda – no changes to agenda. Director’s Report - Yehuda Bock reported the following: Circulated new CRTN proposal version 4.0, with all comments to date included, including Caltrans RFI comments, attached as appendices; no Ver. 4.0 feedback yet; more comments on 3.3 from Jim Swanson to be added Art Andrew, Gigi Cardoza, Chris Walls, Ross Carlson (CRTN subcommittee) to get together prior to Oct meetings CC member Gary Darling (from state Chief Information Office) called about proposal and is going to prepare comments about CRTN, he is particularly interested in emergency response aspect John Schock, a surveyor from LA Metrolink has been using CRTN for last two years and will be using it for train wreck surveys DWR has funds to install 36 RT CGPS – the first 8 sites between Reno and San Francisco for a flood control project/survey; Yehuda is working with them and PBO to utilize/upgrade some of the existing PBO sites for this project; PBO sites currently stream BINEX so Yehuda’s group is working on a decoder (BINEX to RTCM) for RTD, for both the observation and meteorological data; DWR would like to have the project in place by winter, but this may not be realistic There are still problems with data streaming from PBO, but they are
