METHODS: Twentyseven nude mice,of which MHCC97H tumor mass was planted in liver, were divided into 3 groups randomly: negative control group, low dose interfered group, large dose interfered group,and raised at similar condition for 35 d the survival time , the weight at the death point were racorded and the pathologicail changes of livers and lungs were changed; the expression of matrix metalloproteinases2（MMP2）in hepatocellular carcinoma was detected by immunohistochemical technique. RESULTS: Compared with the animal models of negative control group, the animal models of interfered groups were heavier in mean weight at death point and lower in metastasis rate (Plt;0.05); while there was no statistical difference between the 2 interfered groups (Pgt;0.05); the expression of MMP2 in hepatocellular carcinoma of interfered groups was gradually increased than that in control group（Plt;0.05）; while there was no statistical difference between interfered groups(Pgt;0.05). CONCLUSION: Octreotide can improve the living quality of animal models and inhibit the metastasis of human hepatocellular cancer cell line MHCC97H in vivo,which might be related to the downregulation of the expression of MMP2. 　　【Keywords】 MHCC97H, octreotide, inhibition 　　【摘要】 目的：探讨生长抑素类似物奥曲肽对人高转移潜能肝癌细胞株MHCC97H的影响及可能机制. 方法： MHCC97H肿瘤组织种植于裸鼠肝脏建立肝癌动物模型27只，随机分为3组：阴性对照组和小、大剂量干预组，同等条件下饲养35d，记录动物模型生存期，死亡时质量；观察肝脏，肺脏病理改变；免疫组化方法检测肝脏肿瘤组织基质金属蛋白酶2(MMP2)表达变化. 结果： 奥曲肽干预组动物模型较阴性对照组动物模型死亡时平均体重增加,肝癌转移率下降(Plt;0.05)；干预组间对比未见统计学差异(Pgt;0.05)；免疫组化显示干预组肝脏肿瘤细胞MMP2表达较阴性对照组下调（Plt;0.05）；干预组组间比较未见统计学差异(Pgt;0.05). 结论： 奥曲肽可改善荷MHCC97H细胞裸鼠肝癌模型生存质量，抑制MHCC97H细胞肺转移，下调肿瘤组织MMP2的表达是奥曲肽抑制MHCC97H细胞侵袭转移的可能机制
