Navigate to the Tutorial folder where Moldflow Plastics Insight is installed (for example: c:\Program Files\Moldflow\Moldflow Plastics Insight 3.0\Tutorial). In the Files of Type: dropdown list, select the entry Study Files (*.sdy). 4. Click on the file tutorial_2.sdy, and then click Open. 5. Rename the study to Tutorial 2 by right-clicking on the study in the Project View, and selecting Rename from the right-click menu. 6. Click Rotate and rotate the model to examine its geometry and features. You will see from the Study Task pane that the model in this tutorial example is represented by a Midplane mesh. 7. Double-click the study task icon (Analysis ? Select Material), select the material database entryManufacturer: Sumitomo Chemical CompanyTrade Name Kralastic SXB-367then click OK. 8. Click Right View to rotate the part to a suitable view for setting the injection location. 9. Double-click the study task icon (Analysis ? Set Injection Locations), and place the injection cone at the rear of the part (as indicated in the image below). Right-click and select Finish Injection Locations. 10. Click (File ? Save), to save the study changes. 11. Double-click the study task icon (Analysis ? Analyze Now !) to launch a basic filling analysis of the part. The analysis will take approximately 5 minutes to complete on a Pentium-2 PC. 12. Click OK when the analysis is finished. 13. Enter -15 -45 -15 in the rotation angle input box on the Viewpoint toolbar, click on the Fill time result in the Study Tasks pane and then click the play tool on the Animation toolbar to view the filling sequence for the part.
