Methods: The authors set up QCC in July 2012. At first, they analyzed the DVT prevention situation of orthopedic trauma inpatients in July to September 2012, and identified the nursing defects and problems which needed improvement. Then they implemented the intervention and investigate the DVT prevention situation again from October to December 2012. Results: After QCC activities, the DVT incidence rate dropped from 7.81% to 3.33%. Conclusion: QCC activities could improve the quality of DVT prevention management in orthopedic trauma patients, and provide an effective method to prevent the occurrence of DVT.
