Writing ----How to write a Festival and evaluate the compositions

Teaching goals:
1、Enable the students to master the useful words and sentence structures related to the texts and learn more about how to introduce and describe the Spring Festival.
2、The students will master some skills of description about festivals and gain the ability to write festivals through tasks.
3、Enable students to learn how to evaluate their own compositions and theirs’ according to the evaluation form and master the standard of getting points in the writing part.
Teaching Important Points:
1.Master the related vocabulary and sentence structures of the Spring Festival;2.Understand the structure of writing a composition of festivals.
3.Revise their own compositions and peers’ according to the evaluation form.
4.Present their own compositions to class confidently.
Teaching Difficult Points
1. How to make good use of the useful expressions learned before into their compositions; 2.How to evaluate their compositions and peers’ correctly.
Step 1 Brainstorming
Teacher asks students questions to review some phrases, expressions and sentences they learned in Unit 1, Book 3 with group work.
Step 2 Outlining
Teacher asks students to clear about the layout of compositions according to the write tasks. List the information into9 points. (Show them on the screen)
Step 3: Drafting Teachers ask students to write their own compositions.
Step 4 Editing: self-editing and peer-editing
Teacher asks students to revise their own compositions according to the evaluation form.
Step 5 Evaluation and presenting
1、Students rewrite their own compositions.
2、Teacher asks who wants to read his/her composition in the class.
3、Students do the presentation.
Step 6 Showing the possible version
Step7 Summary Summarize the process of writing a composition and give better points with the evaluation form
