Singapore, 29 February 2012 STI and SIPLACE: A long standing relationship spanning 2 decades STI Philippines follows in the footsteps of STI Limited by choosing SIPLACE SIPLACE and the STI Group of companies look back on a successful and long standing partnership. Indeed, this strong partnership was further strengthened with the recent purchase of a SIPLACE X-Series Placement Machine by STI for their plant in Cebu, Philippines. As part of their planned programme of expansion, STI has acquired a High Volume PCBA Contract Electronics Manufacturing business. Since acquiring the new business STI has renamed it, STI-Philippines, the manufacturing facility is based in Cebu. STI-Philippines have already been very satisfied and working successfully with the SIPLACE D-Series. As a result of growing customer requirements, STI-Philippines complemented their existing SIPLACE D-Series line with the highly flexible and innovative SIPLACE X-Series machine. STI-Philippines is the result of STI Limited’s acquisition of the Board Assembly business operators of a high volume PCBA contract electronics manufacturing facility in Cebu, Philippines. In addition to box-build of electronic assemblies for the consumer, industrial, medical and automotive industries, they specialise in medium to high volume PCB assembly. STI-Philippines’ first experience with SIPLACE was with the SIPLACE D-series. “The decision to purchase the SIPLACE D1, D2 and D4 POE (Pre-Owned Equipment) solution was a strategic one, as it provided us with the required specifications in running our production line while maintaining an exceptionally favourable price-performance ratio, therefore ensuring a faster return on investment,” said Lyndon M.
