In this session, I will introduce you to the Pricing Setups provided in Oracle Fusion Pricing. Notes Slide 4 - Agenda Slide notes I’ll give an overview of Oracle Fusion Pricing, followed by capability details about the pricing setups. Then I’ll walk you through a demonstration and discuss some implementation advice. Notes Slide 5 - Introducing Oracle Fusion Pricing Slide notes Oracle Fusion Pricing will be available starting in Release 11. Oracle Fusion Pricing will enable companies to effectively plan their pricing policies and rules using targeted pricing strategies. By segmenting customers with like buying behavior and grouping specific pricing rules to a strategy, companies can meet their business and revenue objectives. Customers will be able to manage their pricing and shipping rules for products and services in Oracle Fusion Pricing. These rules will be executed in a highly-performant and customized pricing processes to meet the business needs and will leverage best practices pricing processes. In today’s training, I will discuss the pricing setups features that are needed to support the product. Notes Slide 6 - Pricing Charge Definitions Slide notes Now, let’s look at some of the key setups needed for Oracle Fusion Pricing. A “Charge” is the calculated priced value for a product or service. An item or service that is priced by Oracle Fusion Pricing can have one or more charges. The setup of pricing charges is modeled in the Manage Pricing Charge Definitions UI in Setup Manager. A charge definition includes the details of the Price Type, Charge Type, and Charge Subtype. The price types values supported in this release are One-Time and Recurring. Several common Charge Definitions have been predefined in the implementation.
