In this session, we’ll introduce you to this new approach and its capabilities. Notes Slide 4 - Agenda Slide notes For the enhancements covered in this training, we’ll give an overview, followed by more detail to explain how you can use them, and what business value they bring. Then, we’ll walk you through a demonstration. Next, we’ll explain what you need to consider before using these features in your business. Notes Slide 5 - Introducing Simplified Setup Slide notes With the introduction of new Supply Chain products in release 11, the business need to simplify how our implementers and customers define the many pieces of data required in Fusion Applications has never been greater. To address this need, a strategic goal to ‘simplify setup’ was begun. In this session, we will review a new feature available in Fusion Setup Manager, and how SCM is using this feature and some simplifying assumptions to allow many setup tasks to be automated, to get our customers using the applications faster. Implementing Fusion Applications differs from the act of demonstrating product functionality to prospective customers. An implementing customer will often need to import their legacy enterprise data as they move to a new product suite. There are elements of simplified setup that will assist these customers. A prospect will typically see a demonstration but may want to understand how the products work using a small set of their own data. This may be attempted in a new cloud instance. It is for these situations that simplified setup offers the most benefits.
