Step1 Greetings and Free talk
Greet the whole class as usual , begin the class with a video about the advertisements of KFC, Coca-cola and HP, then talk with the students about these advertisements.
Step2 Warming-up
Q: Do you think advertisements affect your life in any way; for example do you dress differently because of what you see in advertisements or buy things you might not otherwise buy?
Step3 Pre-reading
Ask the students to glance at the title , predict what the text is about.
Step 4 Reading
Task1 Skimming
Skim the text , then divide the text into several sections and sum up
the main idea of each section.
