Lesson objectives:
1.Learn the new words and expressions. Let Ss understand the meanings of these sentences: There must be some mistakes. It must be a “D”. / You cant be serious. / She cant be English. Can it be true?
2.Help students to have a good! understanding of the text, and train Ss ability of finding the reason why Dr Baker was invited to give a talk on “DNA”.
3.Develop the ability of good observation and how to make comparisons.

Use the information from Lesson 97 to review some telephone words by putting the following sentences into a right order to make them meaningful. (in Ss AB Ex. Ⅰ)
a.Where and when is the news conference?
b.May I have your name and telephone number, please?
c.Its very kind of you. I call to ask her if she could come to our news conference tomorrow afternoon.
