教案示例 Unit 26 Lesson 103 Reading Lesson objectives: 1.Students will be able to use modal verbs freely. 2.Make students realize the importance of benefit performance. Teaching aids: a recorder, a computer, pictures, etc. Teaching procedure: A.Pre-reading 1.Revision Since we have learned Lesson 102, we can ask the students to answer the following questions: 1)Tell sth. about Bob Geldofs life. Possible answer: His life was very interesting. That is the reason for the title. 2) How successful was his idea? Possible answer: Its a good idea to help others. 2.Presentation Enjoy the beautiful song We are the world. And the teacher can say: “Today we are going to learn the next project of Bob Geldofs. ” (in computer) B.While-reading 1.The first time the students read the whole passage fast, they will skim it. Say “Please read the passage quickly. Try to answer the queastion: What was Bob Geldofs next project ?” Possible answer: He had the idea of organizing two big pop concerts to save money for Africa. 2.Ask Ss to read the first paragraph again , then deal with the following quiestion: What is Bob Geldofs project for? (in Ss AB Ex. Ⅰ) Possible answer: to help the hungry people in Africa. 3.Ask Ss to read the second paragraph as quickly as possible, and say “Please remember the details as more as you can.” After reading, let them retell the second paragraph with the help of the following numbers.
