Listening : Identify main ideas 2. Speaking : Use modelled phrases and sentences to communicate with teachers or other pupils 3. Reading : Recognise common abbreviations and contracted forms 4. Writing : Develop written texts by adding personal ideas and information when a model or framework is provided Teaching Procedures : A. Motivation : Ask pupils to bring in some toy animals. Revise the names of the animals using the wall picture, flash cards or the toys. ( a panda, a tiger, a bird, a hippo, a monkey, an elephant) B. Revision : Revise the words tail, ears, nose, legs, beak, wings by pointing to the toys or pictures.
