Get the students to discuss and answer the following questions:
Have you ever been to Beijing or Guilin?
What did you see there?
What do you think of these two cities?
Get the students to scan the passage and pick out the new words. Write them on the Bb and help the students to read them correctly.
Step2. Reading
Get the students to go through ‘Welcome to unit’ and find out:
How many places are mentioned in this passage?

Get the students to read this part carefully and answer the following questions:
