You will need to analyze and discuss this data . Think creatively about the reality behind the data, and be specific rather than vague in your interpretations. Using the U.S. Census printouts and a calculator, you will use a Location Quotient to compare reservation data to the county data. A Location Quotient of 1 means that your Reservation has the exact data make-up as the County that contains it. A number more than 1 means the reservation has a higher level of the data than the county, and a number less than 1 means the reservation has a lower level than the county. Keep that in mind. EXAMPLE: If 3% of Reservation residents have a certain type of housing, and 12.3% of county residents have it , then the LQ of 3 / 12.3 = 0.24 (round to only 2 decimal points) The state data does not figure in the LQ.
