F irst of all, the concep t of hybrid system s is introduced, and then som e m ain and typ ical models and fram ewo rks of hybrid system s are classified and compared. M o reover, m ain contents and techniques in the analysis of hybrid system s and in the hybrid contro l design are review ed. F inally, the further research directions are given. Key words: hybrid
