The 2012 Inter-school Anti-drug Fashion Design Competition was presented by the Society of Boys’ Centres Hui Chung Sing Memorial School, which was one of the major events in the 2012 Hong Kong Design Year supported by the Education Bureau. Almost 150 design teams from 52 schools participated in the event. The aim was to pass the anti-drug message to teenagers through their participation in the fashion show. 2012 禁毒時裝設計比賽由香港扶幼會許仲繩紀念學校主辦，教育局作為支持機構。舉辦是次 比賽目的是為中學生提供機會，讓他們展示在時裝設計的創意；以及通過他們的設計推廣禁 毒的訊息。禁毒時裝設計比賽已經是第三年舉行，參與者盡展心思，每件作品都能緊扣主題。 青少年追求美麗，重視儀表、外貌和衣著，時裝是他們生活的必需品。舉辦時裝設計比賽， 並非以講座或説教方法，而是用比較軟性的手法讓他們接收禁毒信息，透過主動參與，身體 力行，將禁毒信息表達出來。 The Society of Boys’ Centres Hui Chung Sing Memorial School, with the support of the Education Bureau, organises the 2012 Anti-drug Fashion Design Competition aiming to provide opportunities for students to showcase their creativity in fashion design and promote anti-drug messages through their design. The competition has been held for the past three years. All the competing teams, saying their designs can boost the anti-drug message. Youngsters love beauty and they care about their appearance and clothes, which are also daily necessities. Therefore, it is easy to convey the anti-drug message in this way to the kids.
