Female Art in the visual field of postmodernism Abstract The appearance and development of contemporary Female Art in 20 century shakes and changes the traditional values and creativity orientation of Art, pushing the art to a broader realm. Female Art has been becoming an important aspect about researching contemporary culture and philosophy problems coupled with its gradual maturing in practice. The thesis redefines Female Art from postmodern contextual domain, checking the cultural and historical origin of Female Art, taking emphasis on the achievement of the old and the new generations and the containing feminist consciousness, especially discovering the fusion of female art from intrinsic tendency to recount ideological trend in the international background and displaying an intrinsic creative tendency and conscious mentality about recounting culture. Subsequently, this thesis gives emphasis to reestablishing cultural value of Female Art. Firstly, the relations between Female Art and art histories are analyzed; the fact that female creation cannot get rid of the male aesthetic standard is discovered (it is just to say that art histories is not neutral but male.) So the presence of Female Art possesses the constructive meanings about rewriting art histories. Secondly, the relations between Female Art and the culture of postmodern field are explained and historic chance and theoretic support of Female Art. Lastly is discovered. Finally, the sociological significance of Female Art and it’s enlightenment on contemporary art is introduced.
