Methods 59 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer primary tumor, 32 cases of the corresponding basin, abdominal metastasis, 12 cases of adjacent normal ovarian tissue and 30 cases of ovarian tissue, using methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP) detected APC gene promoter methylation status. Results epithelial ovarian cancer in primary kitchen and the corresponding basin, there is peritoneal metastasis abnormal APC gene promoter methylation rates were 32.2%, 40.6%, significantly higher than that of normal ovarian tissues (P lt;0.01) .12 cases of ovarian tissue adjacent 1 case detected APC gene promoter methylation and 30 cases of normal ovarian tissue was not detected. APC gene promoter methylation in the incidence of clinical stage , than stage , (P lt;0.05) in well-differentiated carcinoma than poorly differentiated carcinoma (P lt;0.05). Conclusion APC gene promoter hypermethylation in epithelial ovarian cancer is closely related, and may be associated with epithelial ovarian cancer clinical stage and degree of differentiation . Methods Hypermethylation of APC promoter was detected by methylation specific PCP (MSP) in 59 epithelial ovarian cancer primary tissues, 32 metastatic tissues of pelvic and abdomen cavity, 12 adjacent non cancerous ovarian tissues and 30 normal ovarian tissues. Results Hypermethylation of APC promoter was detected in ovarian cancer tissues and metastatic sites, the frequency being 32.2% and 40.6% respectivel
