METHODS: Six patients with lumbosacral diseases (such as tuberculosis, tumor , discitis, and so on) were employed in this study. All cases underwent VentroFix internal fixation by anterior approach. The preoperative and postoperative imaging data (Xray, CT and MRI) were obtained and evaluated. RESULTS: All cases were followed up for an average period of 18 months (range, 12-28 months). The radiograms showed a bony fusion. There was no loose or dislocation noted, and the stability of lumbosacral graft was good. CONCLUSION: For the patients with lumbosacral diseases who have underwent the removal of the affected region via anterior approach, VentroFix internal fixation should be performed from lower lumbar to higher sacrum with VentroFix anterior instrumentation after autologous iliac grafting.
