Using MTT determination of artesunate on HL  60 cell growth inhibition; with an optical microscopy, agarose gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry and detection of artesunate-induced apoptosis in HL  60 cells; Using Western blot assay of artesunate-induced HL  60 cells during apoptosis Bcl  2 and ICAD expression changes. The results showed that: artesunate right HL  60 cells inhibit the growth and the effects were time and dose-dependent. 48-hour IC50 value of 18.33 μg / ml, the inhibition of proliferation and induction of cell apoptosis; Bcl  2 and ICAD in HL  60 cells were expressed, and the drug concentration increased with the expression level decreased gradually. Conclusion: Artesunate can induce apoptosis in HL  60 cells, Bcl  2 and ICAD in the artesunate-induced apoptosis in HL  60 cells, the signal transduction pathway may be an important regulatory factor.
