 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 15 Atrial fibrillation atrial flutter in patients with CRP and fibrinogen and the relation with left atrial diameter [Abstract] Objective To compare the different duration of atrial fibrillation (AF) and atrial flutter (AFL) in patients with C-reactive protein (CRP), fibrinogen (Fib), left atrium (LA) diameter, and to explore between them relationship. Methods 53 patients AF (paroxysmal in 16 cases, persistent in 13 cases, 24 cases permanently), AFL in 18 cases, sinus rhythm (SR) in 32 cases. All patients were to do an ECG, Holter , echocardiography, and to detect Fib, CRP and the laboratory examinations. AFL group and the AF sub-group comparisons of indicators, respectively, compared with the SR group, the CRP correlation with LA diameter do. Results AF group and the AFL, SR group, Fib, CRP, LA diameter was statistically significant difference, AFL and SR groups were not significant. other indicators among the three groups was not significant. continuous and permanent AF group, CRP and AFL , SR, paroxysmal AF group difference was statistically significant. persistent AF group, LA diameter compared with the SR group was statistically significant difference, with the AFL group was not statistically significant, permanent AF and paroxysmal AF group , AFL, SR LA group, there was significant difference between the diameter. AF group, LA diameter and the linear correlation between CRP, r = 0.33. Conclusions are in a hypercoagulable state in AF, CRP elevation may be the AF’s results, and related with the duration of AF, LA diameter was positively correlated with the inflammatory response, AFL hypercoagulable state does not exist.
