Results azithromycin prepared gelatin microspheres round appearance of the whole, the average diameter of 58.34 μ m, drug loading was 20.11%, the encapsulation efficiency was 59.55%. Conclusion The preparation of gelatin microspheres of azithromycin has good reproducibility, particle size range of narrow, high drug loading, preparation technology is feasible. Methods AZM-GMS were prepared by using gelatin as core material and emulsion chemical-crosslinking methods. Results AZM-GMS was regular in morphology with the mean diameter of 58.34 μ m. The loading amount of AZM was 20.75% and encapsulation efficiency was 67.75%. Conclusion The preparation technology for AZM-GMS was applicable.
