Methods reported 38 cases of blunt laryngeal and tracheal rupture the clinical data, including 16 cases of acute trauma, 22 cases of old trauma. Of clinical problems likely to occur . Results of 38 cases, 16 cases of acute laryngeal trauma in between 24 to 48 hours of surgery, 22 patients with old laryngeal trauma for other reasons in the 32 to 129 days after the surgery operation was successful extubation .35 cases, 3 cases laryngotracheal stenosis due to extubation failure can not, are the old surgery patients. Conclusion of acute closed rupture of larynx and trachea should be according to their degree of severity of early treatment, early resumption of laryngeal and tracheal ventilation, prevention of sequelae and complications place to improve the cure rate. [Keywords:] laryngotracheal injury, tracheal stenosis, tracheostomy Abstract: Objective To raise the diagnosis and treatment level of closed rupture of larynx and trachea.Methods Thirty eight cases with closed rupture of larynx and trachea were reported, including 16 cases with acute trauma and 22 cases with old trauma.Some problems which easily occur in diagnosis and treatment were analysed.Results Among 38 cases, 16 cases received surgical treatment within 24 48 hours, and 22 cases received surgical treatment 32 129 days after trauma with other causes.Thirty five cases were cured and decannulated except 3 cases with laryngotracheal stenosis failed in decannulation.All cases with acute trauma were decannulated.Conclusion Patients with acute closed rupture of larynx and trachea should be treatedearly according to severity of trauma, in order to recover the laryngotracheal function, prevent the sequelae and increase the cure rate.
