Methods A sample containing 943 people was investigated by sampling investigation method, and 32 of them were selected randomly and recompleted the inventory after 3 months. Results There are two dimensions in EHI, that are “Balanced Diet” and “Regularly and Moderately Eating”. The theory structure was confirmed by Exploratory Factor Analysis and the experts on this area. The Cronbach’s @ coefficients were 0.82 and 0.67, the test-retest reliability were 0.73 and 0.55 (P lt;0.001), 3-month’s test-retest showed no significant difference (Pgt; 0.05). These data was analyzed by Stepwise Regression Analysis. Subjects from subhealth group had unhealthiest eating habits. Conclusion Eating Habits Inventory has a good reliability and validity, and is suitable for eating habits self-assessment for adult.
