The results for the first time made Solidago canadensis carried out in vivo pharmacological studies, found that Solidago canadensis extract can significantly prolong the incubation period of acetic acid-induced writhing in mice, reducing the number of writhing; but did not significantly improve the hot-plate pain threshold of mice value; able to significantly inhibit the incubation period of concentrated ammonia water-induced cough and cough frequency; a significant increase in mouse tracheal phenol red secretion capacity; acute toxicity test showed that extracts of Solidago canadensis no significant toxicity, neither caused death in mice is also does not affect the normal increase in body weight of mice.
