[Keywords:] FR Ⅲ crossbite Abstract Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of Frank1 Ⅲ in orthotherapy for anterior malocclusion.Methods 25 children with anterior malocclusion were selected, 11 boys and 14 girls, the average age was 8.2 years old; the average time of orthotherapy with Frank1 Ⅲ was 9 months, and a statistical analysis was made to the lateral cephalograms before and after treatment.Results The improvement of U1-SN, SNA, ANB and FHMP in cases with anterior malocclusion after orthotherapy was significant comparing with those before treatment. Conclusions Frank1 Ⅲ is of obvious curative effect for functional and mild skeletal anterior malocclusion and it is better to start the orthotherapy in DM period.
