Results The effective rate of the 20 CVA cases was 95% (19/20), that of the 34 PNDS cases was 94.1% (32 / 34) and that of the 8 EB cases was 87.5% (7 / 8); 4 patients showed symptom relieves and no case was found to have no effect. Conclusions CVA, PNDS and EB are the main causes of chronic cough, and glucocorticoid is of specific curative effect on chronic cough.
