Method using a variety of chromatographic techniques to separate and purify the compounds of the physical and chemical properties and spectral data for structural identification. Results from Guizhou Evodia isolated and identified five compounds, namely, evodiamine (Ⅰ ), β -sitosterol (Ⅱ ), quercetin (Ⅲ ), is 18 triacontanol (Ⅳ ), is 27 triacontanol (Ⅴ ). Conclusion Compounds Ⅳ , Ⅴ for the first time from this genus were isolated. MethodsVarious chromatographic technologies were used to separate and purify the constituents. Their structures were identified on the physico-chemical properties and spectral data. ResultsFive compounds were isolated from Evodia rutaecarpa (juss.) Benth and identified as evodiamine (Ⅰ ), β -sitosterol (Ⅱ ), quercetin (Ⅲ ), 1-octadecanol (Ⅳ ), n-heptacosyl alcohol (Ⅴ ). ConclusionIt is the first time to find compound (Ⅳ ) and compound (Ⅴ ) in this plant.
