Method using thin-layer chromatography in the system, fleece-flower root tablet, wind, angelica, Tianma carried out a qualitative identification; using high performance liquid chromatography determination of emodin tablet. The results of TLC spots were clear, blank sample without interference; emodin in the range of 0.052 5 ~ 0.525μ g has good linear relationship, r = 1.000, the average recovery was 99.28%, RSD of 1.971% (n = 5 ). Conclusion The method is simple, accurate, reproducible, and can be used for quality control. MethodsRadix polygoni multiflori praeparata cum succo glycines sotae, Radix saposhni Roviae, Radix angelicae sinensis, and Rhizoma gastrodiae in tablets were identified by TLC, emodin in tablets were detemined by HPLC. ResultsThe TLC sperts developed were fairly clear and the blank test showed no interference.
