Human cytomegalovirus infection in neonatal detection of trace elements in blood

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 10 Human cytomegalovirus infection in neonatal detection of trace elements in blood [Abstract] Objective: To investigate cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection in newborns and healthy newborns, the blood content of trace elements in different. Methods: The combination of PCR and ELISA assay, 80 cases selected FQ CMV DNA in serum and urine positive, serum CMV IgM antibody-positive infants were positive for HCMV infection group, and the other 102 cases negative for the control group. by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry ICP AES determination of trace elements in two groups of neonatal blood. Results: HCMV Infection of serum zinc, magnesium, iron, calcium levels were lower than the control group, whole blood lead and serum copper levels were higher. Conclusion: HCMV infection in neonatal blood there is a certain imbalance in trace elements, and the HCMV infection have a certain correlation. Methods: Determined by PCR and ELISA, 80 samples with CMV IgM positive serumn and FQ CMV DNA positive in serum and urine were recruited as subject group and 102 samples with those of negative were enrolled as control group. The contents of traces element in the all the samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP AES) method. Result: The content of serum Zn, Fe, Mg , Ca in subject group was distinctly lower than that in control group (P lt;0.05) while the content of serum Cu, Pb in subject group was obviously highter than that in control group (P lt;0.05). Conclusion: There is a certain relationship between the disequilibrium in trace elements and the infection of HCMV. Therefore it is important to balance the trace elements in the newborns with HCMV in fection. [Keywords:] human cytomegalovirus; the newborn; trace
