IGFBP1 gene two single nucleotide polymorphisms and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is not associated

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 8 IGFBP1 gene two single nucleotide polymorphisms and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is not associated Of: Jia Yanbin Dong Wenjie Yan Yan Cao Ying [Abstract] Objective: To detect insulin-like growth factor binding protein 1 (IGFBP1 gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPrs4619 and rs1065780 with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: 77 patients with TaqMan method in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 466 healthy subjects were genotyped and used non-conditional Logistic regression analysis and SNP detection of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Results: The detection of the two SNP and the incidence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is not associated. Conclusion : SNP rs4619 and rs1065780 in the pathogenesis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma not play a major role in the process. [Keywords:] esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, insulin-like growth factor, insulin-like growth factor binding protein, single nucleotide polymorphism Abstract Objective: To investigate the association of rs4619 and rs1065780 in the insulin-like growth factor binding protein 1 (IGFBP1) gene to the risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: SNPs were genotyped among 77 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 466 normal controls by TaqMan. Data were analyzed using unconditional logistic regression to evaluate the association of two SNPs examined to esophageal quamous cell carcinoma. Results: No association was found between any SNP examined in the present study and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion: SNP rs4619 and rs1065780 do not play a major role in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Keywords: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma; Insulin-like growth factor (IGF); Insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP); Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF- have mitogenic effects and inhibition of apoptosis [1].
