IGFI IGFIR in the human lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration and its biological significance in the expression

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 13 IGFI IGFIR in the human lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration and its biological significance in the expression [Abstract] Objective: To observe the insulin-like growth factor I (IGF I), IGF I receptor (IGF IR) in human degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc tissue, to explore its biological significance. Methods: Immunohistochemistry (SP) were used to detect IGF I, IGF IR, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the normal control group (A group, n = 16), degenerative disc group (B group, n = 53) expression; TUNEL method were detected intervertebral disc cells. Results: IGF I, IGF IR expression in group B than in group A, significant difference between the two groups (P lt;0.05); cell proliferation index (PI) B group than in A group, two groups significant difference between (P lt;0.05); cell apoptosis index (AI) B group than in A group were significantly different between the two groups (P lt;0.05); IGF I, IGF IR expression and PI was positively correlated (rs = 0.59, rs = 0.56, all P lt;0.01), and AI was negatively correlated (rs =- 0.60, rs =- 0.57, all P lt;0.01); PI, AI value in the IGF I, IGF IR negative and positive group were significantly differences (all P lt;0.05). Conclusion: IGF I, IGF IR abnormal expression of human lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration is closely related; IGF I, IGF IR to promote cell proliferation, inhibition of apoptosis, in human lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration process play an important role, IGF I, IGF IR expression may lead to abnormal incidence of disc degeneration. [Keywords:] insulin-like growth factor I; insulin-like growth factor I receptor; disc degeneration [Abstract] Objective: To observe the expression of IGF I and IGF IR in human degenerative intervertebral discs and to investigate its biological significance. Methods: 69 patients were divided into two groups: 16 cases of normal intervertebral discs in group A and 53 cases of degenerative intervertebral discs in g
