Methods: 80 patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups and the control group were given conventional treatment, observation group were treated with insulin, captopril and simvastatin, the control group of oral hypoglycemic drugs, fasting blood glucose measured before and after treatment, blood lipids, activities of daily living score and efficient for analysis. Results: After treatment, blood glucose , lipid levels decreased significantly compared with before treatment, ADL scores and significantly higher efficiency. Conclusion: Insulin, captopril and simvastatin treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction is effective and can reduce acute diabetes patients with cerebral infarction morbidity and improve quality of life. Meanwhile, insulin, captopril and simvastatin were additionally used in treatment group while oral antidiabetic drugs were given in the control group. Fasting blood-sugar level, low-density lipid protein, ADL scores and treatment effect were tested and analyzed. Results: The levels of blood glucose, and low-density lipidprotein decreased obviously after treatment in treatment group, ADL scores and treatment effect in treatment group were higher than those in the controls.
