Abstract: Objective To investigate the interleukin 13 (IL13) in several common pathological types of primary glomerulonephritis (PGN) in patients with renal tissues and its significance. Methods Immunohistochemical staining detected 81 cases of PGN patients and 10 cases of renal tissue in the control group, the expression of IL13, and with all clinical parameters were analyzed. PGN results in patients with renal tissue expression of IL13 significantly increased compared with control group; IL13 in PGN patients with renal tissue and blood urea nitrogen, creatinine levels, 24h urinary protein and glomerular crescent formation was positively correlated (r = 0.325,0.275,0.291, 0.231), but not with glomerular filtration rate (GFR), serum albumin level was negatively correlated (r = 0.448, -0.296). Conclusion IL13 involved in PGN patients with renal inflammation and glomerular crescent formation process and with the progress of renal function and urinary protein closely related to the severity.
