Methods 45 rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group, positive drug (triptolide) group, wide-water extract of nettle leaves high, medium and low concentration group, wide-ethanol extract of nettle leaves high, medium and low concentration group, through the adjuvant arthritis model to observe the body weight, the primary side and secondary side of paw swelling and arthritis index. Results Compared with the control group injected with complete Freund’s adjuvant rat paw in each group can be seen visibly swollen. Compared with model group, wide-leaf nettle water extract and ethanol extract of high, medium and low concentrations can be different degrees of mitigation of rat primary side and secondary side of paw swelling and arthritis index. Conclusion latifolia Urtica high concentration of water extract of the strongest inhibitory effect of rheumatoid arthritis in rats better than positive drug (triptolide) group, in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in a further study of broad leaf Urtica and development value.
