【Abstract】 Objective To Mao herb polysaccharides, purification, and monosaccharide composition were analyzed. By hot water extraction method of Mao herb was ethanol precipitated crude polysaccharide (APW), APW after removal of protein, dialysis, DEAE-cellulose column and Sephadex G-100 column chromatography were purified by chromatographic methods such as purified polysaccharides analyzed . The results of the major polysaccharide containing APW1, APW2, APW3, APW4 four components. Conclusion purified polysaccharides by high performance gel chromatography, thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography analysis indicated that: APW1 molecular weight of about 5.3 × 103, by Rha, Ara, Xyl, Man, Glu, Gal, whose molar ratio of To 0.16:0.17:0.24:0.55:0.89:1.00; APW2 molecular weight of about 5.4 × 104, from the Ara, Man, Gal, whose molar ratio of 0.82:1.00:0.32; APW3, APW4 molecular weight of about 7.0 × 105, 2.0 × 106, by Rha, Ara, Man, Gal, whose molar ratio, respectively 0.24:1.00:0.48:0.53 and 0.22:0.34:1.00:0.58; to Mao herb polysaccharides provide the basis for further research.

Abstract: ObjectiveTo purify and analyse the polysaccharides from rhizomes of Atractylodes lancea DC.MethodsThe crude polysaccharides (APW) were obtained by extracting with hot water and precipitating with alcohol. The cleared APW were purified by DEAE-cellulose, Sephadex G-100 column, and it was analyzed by chromatography. ResultsThe purified four proteins (APW1 ~ 4) were removed from crude polysaccharides. ConclusionAnalsed by HPGC, TLC and GC, the molecular weight of APW1 ~ 4 5.3 × 103, 5.4 × 104,7.0 × 105 and 2.0 × 106, respectively. The chemical components and the molar ratio showed as follows: APW1: Rha: Ara: Xyl: Man: Glu: Gal = 0.16:0.17:0.24:0.55:0.89:1.00;
