Conclusion The method is simple, rapid and reproducible and can be increased as the capsule of milk for determination of icariin. Methods A HPLC method was set up to with Hypersil ODS C18 (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm) column, and methanol-water (70 ︰ 30) as mobile phase, the UV detection wavelength was 275 nm and the flow rate was 1.0 mL / min. Result The calibration curve was showed good linearity (r = 0.999 8) within the range of 0.105 ~ 0.840 μg and the average recovery was 99.5% , RSD was 1.27% (n = 6). Conclusion The method is simple and rapid, and with good reproducibility for the determination of icariin in Ruzengning Capsules.
