 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 6 Mirtazapine and paroxetine in the treatment of depression study [Abstract] Objective To evaluate the mirtazapine and paroxetine in the treatment of depression efficacy and safety. Methods 64 patients with depression were randomly divided into two groups of inpatients and outpatients were treated with mirtazapine and paroxetine treatment, treatment 6 w. Pre-treatment and treatment in the first 1 w, 2 w, 4 w, 6 w end use of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Hamilton Anxiety Scale, Clinical Global Impression Scale assessment and adverse clinical efficacy and adverse reactions. The results of two sets of treatment for all periods Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Hamilton Anxiety Scale scores were significantly decreased; mirtazapine group markedly faster time than paroxetine group, adverse drug reactions were less than the paroxetine group, and mirtazapine rarely cause sexual dysfunction. Conclusion Mirtazapine is a safe and effective new generation of antidepressant drugs, compliance is good, high security.
