Methods of May 2007 to October 2009 were treated for acute appendicitis misdiagnosed clinical data of 12 cases. Results in 2 cases of duodenal ulcer; 2 patients necrotic ileum diverticulitis; 2 cases of colorectal cancer for the blind; 1 case of appendicitis granuloma; 1 case of severe acute pancreatitis; 1 case of perinephric infections; 1 case of testicular torsion; 1 case of corpus luteum rupture; 1 case mesenteric lymphadenitis. Conclusion serious history taking, physical examination system, improve the comprehensive analysis of the auxiliary test results can reduce the misdiagnosis of acute appendicitis. Our hospital from May 2007 to October 2009 there were 12 cases of right lower abdominal pain misdiagnosed as appendicitis cases.
