Methods in March 2004 ~ February 2005, using GE Signa 1.5T MR scanner, a result of upper abdominal pain or jaundice associated with patients with MRCP examination, using thin (3mm slice thickness, zero interval), and thick (50mm slice thickness) imaging, having observed the pancreatic duct at the same time, focusing on observation of the duodenum and its surrounding structures, with a view to discover diverticulitis, or other lesions. The results were found six cases of duodenal diverticulum, 1 male and 5 females; aged 53 to 74 years old, with an average age of 65. All of duodenal diverticula are located between the descending section and the head of pancreas. 6 cases, 2 cases showed common bile duct pressure bypass lower segment, accompanied by different degrees of common bile duct and pancreatic duct expansion of the lower common bile duct stones in 2 cases combined, 1 cases with inflammatory lower segment of common bile duct stenosis, and the other one cases of large diverticulum due to repression of pancreatic head area Erzhi pancreatic duct dilation. All cases were confirmed by duodenal endoscopy. In the MRCP images, the performance of duodenal diverticulum in the duodenum connected to one end, the other end free of the blind pouch-like structure, its shape and signal are similar to the duodenum. 3 cases of diverticulum can be seen scattered in the film or air bubble - liquid plane, in order to show better axial T2WI. 1 case showed a larger diverticulum coiled shape, like the presented multi-axial cystic change, enhanced scan cyst and duodenal wall showed the same enhancement capsule contents no enhancement.
