On Rhubarb treatment of early postoperative inflammatory ileus 48 Cases

[Abstract] Objective: To explore the rhubarb in the treatment of early postoperative inflammatory ileus in the clinical effect. Methods: 48 cases of diagnosed cases, with decompression, anti-inflammatory, maintaining water and electrolyte balance and so on, plus clothing and rhubarb, and to give Rhubarb Jianshui retention enema. Results: 48 patients with early postoperative inflammatory ileus patients were cured. Healing time of 4 ~ 11 d, an average of 6.1 d. Conclusion: The early postoperative inflammatory ileus occurred in patients more than 4 ~ 10 d, rhubarb combined treatment results were satisfactory.
Early postoperative inflammatory ileus [1] is the abdominal postoperative bowel obstruction in a type of easily ignored, unlike ordinary adhesive intestinal obstruction. In such cases shall be treated with caution, improper handling can cause intestinal fistula, severe infection, serious complications [2], so that further deterioration. In our hospital from 1999 to 2008, the right abdominal postoperative patients with early inflammatory small bowel obstruction, 48 cases taken to the method of combining Chinese and Western medicine for the non-surgical treatment, results are obvious, as summarized below:
1 Data and methods
1.1 General Information
48 cases of patients in this group. 20 cases were male, female 28 cases. The oldest 73 years old, minimum 8 years old, with an average 48.3 years of age. Appendiceal perforation, diffuse peritonitis OK appendectomy in 27 cases, stomach, duodenum perforation line repair in 8 cases, stomach, duodenum perforation line subtotal gastrectomy in 1 case of traumatic rupture of small intestine perforation line repair 1 case of traumatic rupture of splenectomy in 1 case, intestinal adhesion reoperation in 8 cases, acute
