Methods Four patients (3 males and 1 femalewith intracerebral epidermoid cyst, proved by pathology and surgery, were reviewed. MRI examination methods and manifestions of intracerebral epidermoid cyst were analyzed with the literature review.Both plain and enhanced CT were performed in all cases, combining with FLAIR and DWI (b = 1000) sequences.Results In four patients, lesions exhibited low signal on T1WI and homogeneous high signal on T2WI.The FLAIR presented the high signal and DWI showed homogeneous or inhomogeneous hyper-intensity signal.The lesions had no enhancement or slight peripheral enhancement after contrast injection. Conclusion MRI of Intracerebral epidermoid cyst has characteristics, which is of great value to the diagnosis and differential diagnosis.
