Method used in the form of questionnaires, using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) as assessment tools, 87 cases of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients to survey and analyze the age, sex, educational level, duration and so on psychological effects. the use of SPSS 16.0 statistical package was used for statistical analysis. Results ALS patient anxiety and depression rates were 40.48% and 52.38%. longer course, younger, higher education, women with anxiety a higher incidence of depression. patient anxiety and depression and education level were significant differences (P lt;0.05). Conclusion amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in patients with anxiety and depression was significantly affected by the impact of educational level, women , younger, longer course of patients prone to anxiety and depression.
