Methods expansion by balloon vertebroplasty treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures were 87 cases . application of SF ~ 36 health survey questionnaire, pain visual grading score, analgesic score, mobility score of patients before and after surgery to quantify the quality of life were assessed and compared. Results 87 patients were followed up for 15 ~ 36 month, an average of 28.6 months. SF ~ 36 patients after score, activity capacity, and pain to improve the situation were better than preoperative status, was statistically significant (P lt;0.01). Conclusion balloon vertebroplasty in the treatment expansion osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures can improve osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture patients quality of life. [Keywords:] balloon expansion of vertebroplasty, osteoporosis, vertebral compression fractures, quality of life Abstract: Objective Long term research of the quality of life of percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporosis vertebral compression fracture.Methods Reviewed the clinical data of 87 osteoporosis vertebral compression fracture cases which had been carried out percutaneous kyphoplasty.SF 36 scale scoring and VAS ( visual analog scale) scoring, analgesic drugs using scoring, locomotor activity scoring were used to evaluate the quality of preoperation and postoperation life.Results All the 87 cases were followed up from 15 months to 36 months, the mean follow up was 28.6 months.The postoperation SF 36 scale scoring and pain relieving, locomotor activity improvement were all better than preoperative conditions.There was significant difference in the comparation.
